At Bishop Blanchet, our drama department's motto is "Truth 和 Courage." Whether students intend to pursue a career in theatre or are simply looking to try something new, we believe that making theatre cultivates creativity, sensitivity 和 enthusiasm in young people, 和 our program offers a supportive environment where students can make bold choices. 

The drama department offers a comprehensive three-part sequential acting program, 三节戏剧设计课, 和 a three-show season: a fall 玩, 一个学生导演的独幕剧节, 还有一场春季音乐剧.

Students can participate in the performances both on stage acting 和 behind the scenes with one of our five crews: Stage Crew, 服装的船员, 发型和化妆组, 市场营销人员, 及舞台管理.

米德尔顿 is a deeply moving 和 funny 玩 exploring the universe of a small American town. As a friendship develops between longtime resident John Dodge 和 new arrival Mary Swanson, the lives of the inhabitants of 米德尔顿 intersect in strange 和 poignant ways in a journey that takes them from the local library to outer space 和 points between. The characters in 米德尔顿 are word-woozy poet-philosophers who dispense piercing observations about life, 死亡与宇宙, 需要爱和宽恕, 和 the search for meaning in life—the long, 孤独的失望之痛.
